July Newsletter
Greetings PSA Members,
Let's begin with a huge bouquet of appreciation for you, our incredible spa community, for your participation and enthusiasm in our first annual Tradeshow and Networking event held in June. It was a day filled with everything we dreamed of - our community coming together to support one another, a day of movement, fun and laughter, and the acknowledgement that the spirit of collaboration and connection is strong, alive and thriving! We're still basking in the afterglow, thank you again.
As it happened, we dedicated July's newsletter to reflect on the values of Kindness and Appreciation. It's a reminder to slow down, and recognize those who show up everyday and quietly make our lives better. In the rush of daily life, it's easy to overlook the steady players!
If you haven't shared a Random Act of Kindness recently, it's a powerful remedy to lift your spirits. Whether it's buying a cup of coffee for the person behind you, tagging someone who inspired you, leaving a kind note, or simply saying 'I appreciate you' to a co-worker. Small gestures can create a big impact.
The Random Acts of Kindness website offers many messages. Two that resonate: "Make Kindness the Norm, and Kindness starts with one - one smile, one hug, one cup of coffee." Let's spark a wave of kindness and appreciation across the spa world!
Sending our best wishes, and appreciation to all of you,
Karen & Kimberly

Vendor Spotlight
Aimee Conlee, West Coast Sales Manager, Los Poblanos
How long have you been with Los Poblanos and what's your favorite part of working with the company?
This is my 16th season with Los Poblanos. I love being a part of a creative and dynamic business. So much of it resonates with me. What I love most is being part of a team that takes the simplicity of the lavender plant and turns it into beautiful salves, oils, hydrosol and other unique products. I never get tired of telling the story of Los Poblanos. And I think that story comes out in our products.
It's lavender season, what's happening in July at Los Poblanos?
Lavender is the heart of Los Poblanos. Right now, the bees are buzzing in the fields as the farmers begin the annual harvest. Fresh bundles of Grosso lavender are laid upon the plants until they are loaded into the outdoor alembic copper stills and processed for essential oil and hydrosol. The relaxing, melodic buzz and the fragrant air create a cocktail of pure joy!
How has working in our industry influenced your life and personal journey?
I am a contemplative healing artist with a heart for artisan handcrafted products. Los Poblanos introduced me to lavender. This industry has invited me to weave my gifts of sound healing into workshops on the farm and product activations around the country. Meeting other gifted and multi-passionate folks like Karen and Kimberly and joining the Pacific Spa Alliance is another gift on the journey!
I’ve been a part of Los Poblanos for 15 years and relocated to Northern California from Albuquerque five years ago. Pacific Spa Alliance is the perfect bridge for the work and the products in this region. SO grateful to be a part of the vendor foundation for this alliance.
