As we move into the fresh and energizing season of spring, you may find yourself inspired to declutter, both physically and mentally. It's the perfect time shed the old and make way for the new.
Even small steps toward decluttering can be surprisingly satisfying, creating more breathing room in your home and office. You may also be thinking of reducing 'habit' clutter, like checking your phone messages less often and cutting back on mindless scrolling.

Stephanie DiPisa, Founder and CEO

Stephanie's personal journey with Lyme Disease and her children's reactions to chemical sunscreens led to the creation of Solara Suncare in 2019. With conscious formulations guided by strict European standards, Solara has replaced questionable and irritating ingredients with the best clinically studied plant + science-backed actives. Stephanie says she's given zinc-based sunscreen a refresh from inside out! Here's more from Stephanie:
How do you stay creatively inspired while running a business?
My inspiration comes from living the why behind Solara—my Lyme journey and my kids’ reactions to chemical sunscreens. Creativity tends to strike when I’m deep in ingredient research, connecting with our community, or halfway through a long shower or dreamy family trip that reminds me exactly why I started this journey.
How do you juggle family, CEO responsibilities, managing accounts and future planning?
It’s a beautiful kind of chaos (emphasis on chaos!), and I’ve learned to prioritize hard, lean on my small team, and fiercely protect time for both family and work. My kids are often part of the journey— they’ve helped name the brand and packed PR boxes — and while it’s not always seamless, staying present, setting boundaries (still learning!), and keeping family at the center makes it all worth it.
What's a fun gem about you that you would like to share with our members?
I’m a travel and food nerd, and love spending time in Europe, particularly exploring my roots in Italy. I get a spark from entertaining, exploring local restaurants and pharmacies abroad—those everyday cultural rituals inspire so many of our formulas and fuel my passion for creating.
