July Newsletter
Happy July PSA Members,
We remained in a post-show glow for weeks after our event, and are incredibly grateful to our spa members and vendor partners for making our second annual trade show such a tremendous success. We've received wonderful feedback, along with many thoughtful suggestions through our post-show survey, and we appreciate everyone who took time to share their insights. Now it's time to plan for 2027! We expect to share details in September, and can't wait to reveal what's ahead.
Summer is in full swing! More than any other season summer brings a sense of energy and vitality, along with discovery and adventure. It's the time of year that calls us outdoors to soak up the sun, explore new destinations, linger in the longer daylight hours, and embrace a more carefree pace. Hope you're finding moments to embrace the season.
We're excited to announce our PSA third quarter event, Technology and Spa Innovations, taking place on Zoom, Thursday August 27, at 11:00am. We're bringing together a panel of spa leaders and technology experts to explore the latest innovations shaping the future of the spa industry and how these technologies can be implemented in your spas. Britney Beardmore
Co-Founder Acrely Farms
Can you tell us the story behind your brand?
Sarah and I founded Acrely Farms because our complementary backgrounds in healthcare and organic agriculture gave us a unique perspective on wellness. My experience in medical imaging and clinical research, paired with Sarah's expertise in regenerative farming, inspired us to create products that combine the science of plant-based ingredients with the beauty of luxury spa experiences.
Today, we grow many of our own botanicals at our farms in Utah and follow our Bloom to Bottle philosophy, ensuring every product reflects our commitment to quality, sustainability, and the healing power of plants.
What inspires your work and your team every day?
We're inspired by helping people feel better. Whether that's easing physical discomfort, creating moments of relaxation, or supporting overall well-being through plant-based products. This year, we're especially proud to partner with the Huntsman Mental Health Foundation to support mental health awareness and give back to a cause that aligns deeply with our mission.
What are you most excited about right now? Are there any new launches this year?
This fall, we'll host our Acrely Farms Fourth Annual Harvest Retreat, bringing together our spa partners from across the country for hands-on farm education, connection, and a few unforgettable days in the mountains at Snowpine Lodge at the base of Alta, Utah. I'm so excited to share this experience with our incredible spa community and celebrate everything that makes Acrely special.
Carene Coulter
Director of Spa and Wellness Four Seasons
Tell our members how you got started in the spa industry.
I got my start in the spa industry as a coordinator at an Aveda Salon that had a spa located on the second floor. I found myself constantly drifting upstairs, drawn to the spa environment, and quickly realized that was where I wanted to build my career.
That passion led me to a role as Esthetics Manager at a historic day spa in Toronto, Canada. While my roles and responsibilities have evolved over the years, one thing has remained constant, I’ve always known that spa is where I belonged.
Talk more about what drives your passion.
I’m passionate about helping people understand that self-care is not selfish, it’s essential. Taking time to care for yourself allows you to be healthier, more present, and better equipped to care for the people and responsibilities in your life.
That passion is rooted in a lifelong love of skincare. Even as a child, I was fascinated by skincare rituals and would bring clay mask packets from the drugstore to sleepovers when I was 10 years old. What started as a personal interest grew into a career dedicated to helping others feel confident, cared for, and empowered through self-care.
Today, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is encouraging people to prioritize their well-being without guilt, and recognize the value of investing in themselves.
What exciting treatments or new offerings are you working on for fall?
One of the most exciting things we’re working on is evolving traditional massage and facial services into whole-body skincare rituals that nurture both the skin and overall well-being.
I also love educating people that caring for your skin doesn’t stop at the neck. The skin is our largest organ, and it deserves attention from head to toe. By combining results-driven treatments with restorative experiences and time honored rituals, we’re creating services that help guests feel better, look better, and give themselves permission to prioritize self-care.
